A little birdie told us about this nice blendtape by UK’s Sourface. Featuring the legendary lyricism of Nas set against some of the best 9th Wonder production to date. If you’re a fan of both like we are… you can’t go wrong with this one!

Made in 2009 but with a definite nod to the oldskool style, this is poignant, heartfelt D&B at its very best. The arrangement deftly builds to a beautiful swell of echoed vocals, icey-atmospherics and rolling beats and bass. This one is certain to defy fashions and trends and will be just as moving in 2024.

In other words, rim shots on speed. You gotsta love it.

Shalom, Hadag Nahash

Yes, International is not up there for show.  Allow us to introduce you to a very talented band coming out of Israel – Hadag Nahash, which (from a quick google search) means “the snake-fish”… after digging a little deeper  using the band’s icon – it may even be nod to an idiom that loosely means – “I’ll Show You How It’s Done”.  Either way – they’re doing it very well.   They’re been around since 96′  and have made tons of waves on our side of the globe in the past couple of years.  After listening to their work they seem to have a perflect blend of traditional music Israeli Music mixed with Eastern, mashed together with funk and soul and sprinkled in with a little dub to keep the bassline tight.  Very much our kind of shit.
