5 Thoughts – LittleBrother – Curtain Call [Prod. Khrysis] [MP3+ Video]

April 19th, 2010 by

DOWNLOAD MP3 HERE : Little Brother – Curtain Call [prod. Khrysis]

We’ve been holding out on this track- it almost seems like if we didn’t post it, then Little Brother would never have to end…

1.  It was good run, but you got to admit it was almost inevitable.  Almost every LB release was down right euphoric musical perfection; to the quality music listening professional, how were they going to keep it up?

2. When 3 become 2 and 2 become solo w/ side hustles – it seems like every group goes through their trials and what not, and we all saw the signs, we blame this on Nicolay, Zo!, Murs and Buckshot

3.  Ole church suit wearing ass nuccas….

4. We don’t remember LB talking about weed much – but how ironic they are dropping the album on 420??? [that’s tomorrow for yall who don’t know – pre -order right here: itunes.apple.com/us/preorder/leftback/id365124657

5. Real Hip Hop Fans are taking a big hit – the game is gonna miss Little Brother and so will we.

Another LayOver Vid Leak—

Evidence ft. Phonte, Will I Am and Blu–
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Produced by: Khrysis [on the boards with the HEAT!©]

Directed: Jason Goldwatch

Sorry ya’ll, no download for this vid— Our policy on downloads is 3 per album and we already covered the LayOver EP when it dropped. If you haven’t got it by now, let this vid help make up your mind. Every track on that album is dope and every vid is too.   This doesn’t top the vid with the full frontals, but I mean, what video would?

Evidence – Far Left ft. Alchemist and Fashawn [prod. Alchemist]
Best video I’ve seen in awhile, it is reminiscent of Common’s Come Close with out all of the warm, pseudo love associations. Big Ups to the director Punit Dhesi

Still tryin to figure out why this album is called The Layover, besides the title track it really doesn’t go with the album, Encore already did it in 04′ but that’s besides the point. It’s a damn shame that there are still so-called Hip Hop listeners who don’t know nothing about Evidence or Dilated.  I feel sorry for them.  The Layover starts out with a hard, cold sound that continues throughout album.  It’s only 10 tracks deep, but I enjoy short albums as long as every track is bangin’.  This holds true with the Layover.

Heltah Skeltah is back on Sept. 30th!

September 15th, 2008 by

Like I have stated previously, this fall is gonna be a good one for Hip Hop. Heltah Skeltah is coming back from a 10 year hiatus! Ruck [Sean Price] and Rock have joined forces again for their 3rd album, “D.I.R.T. [Da Incredible Rap Team].

It’s been 10 years, so what have they been up to? If you’ve been under a rock or locked down, you wouldn’t know that Sean P, has probably made one of the greatest comebacks in indie history with he release of 2005′s Monkey Barz and 2007′s Jesus Price Supastar. In recent months, word on these internet streets  was  that Rock is dealing charges of attempted murder, but that didn’t stop him from releasing the Shell Shock Mixtape.  From what I’ve heard, this new album fails to disappoint with the same ole Heltah Skeltah with 10 years of improvement.  Who could ask for more?
