So LoveJones hits us off with 2 MORE joints off of the upcoming Sunday Drive album. I don’t know about ya’ll but we’re ready for this album– We can’t wait to hear how all these tracks fit together.
SUNDAY, APRIL 26th – IT DROPS! LATER DATE IN MAY.
This is gonna be a summer joint for sure–
Mike Schiptz aka Love Jones – Sunday Drive Midnight Mix[prod. Phys Edison]
This song is ridiculous right here….
The video shows Jones in his ruffled work clothes contemplating what a day off from work might feel like. With some of Chicago’s most original and colorful murals providing the backdrop, Sit on the Moon grabs the viewer’s attention and meshes perfectly with Phys Edison’s soulful instrumental and Jones’ introspective lyrics.
The album, Sunday Drive will be coming at ya’ll really soon, check back for updates.
LoveJones aka Mike Schiptz – Downtime [prod. Phys Edison]
So 2 more tracks have leaked from LoveJones’ [Mike Schiptz] upcoming album Sunday Drive. Both tracks as well as the entire album are produced by Phys Edison. Once again, Jones’ flow is so smooth and fluid over Phys Edison’s melodic beats. They compliment each other so well. When it drops in full, this album will officially be getting heavy rotation.
Check out the other track, “Roll Call (Top City)” after the jump
If you build it, they will come. How fitting that these two tracks off of Mike Schpitz aka LoveJones, upcoming album Sunday Drive would make their way into TheOvun’s mailbox. A good site, with good music, THE SYSTEM WORKS!
LoveJones aka Mike Schpitz, the Chicago MC by way of Topeka [Stik Figa watup?], is honest. His music is real. It’s not too contrived, not overly swagtastic (c), not too complicated, and definitely no pretension whatsoever. You get the feeling that Schiptz actually recorded these tracks for the love of game. Bragging rights can just be a bonus. In these times where internet rappers can remain legends in their own mind, it’s nice to hear such a refreshing artist. Sunday Drive is produced entirely by Phys Edison [Phys Ed]. We’d hate to be the site that says, if you like Artist A, then you’ll like Artist B–but we can say with confidence that if you like NYC’s Outasight [minus the singing], then you’ll definitely dig this dude, [hopes for a collabo]
We will definitely keep you posted of this guy; Sunday Drive is coming at you soon so check back for it here.
To tie you over check out another leaked track off of the album—
