It’s been over 4 years since Topeka, Kansas emcees, Adullessence, Mike Schpitz and Stik Figa have recorded music as The O’s. After a couple months of plotting and planning, The O’s are finally releasing their first record since 2008, titled Breakdown. Breakdown features Les, Schpitz and Stik reminiscing about childhoods, the stressed of being adults and raising kids. The music video for Breakdown was recently shot in the crew’s hometown, Topeka, Kansas and will be released soon. The O’s are working towards completing an EP as well.

We heard that Stringer Bell had a new video out with a 9th Wonder produced track; as 9th Wonder stans, we always jump at the chance to listen to new music but to our surprise the track seemed oddly familiar… Yes! it was; 2003′s Ether Remix on God’s Stepson… And if you’ve been paying attention like good boys and girls; you’d remember that the homie Mike Schpitz laced this track lovely on his Love Potion Number 9th project.

That is not to say that Idris Elba didn’t put his own spin on it; if you ask us it doesn’t sound like much a of beef track anyway.

You know you hear a good artist when they can flip a beat you’ve heard before and make it sound BRAND NEW!! On AduLLessence’, latest mixtape entitled Life in Surround Sound: Takeout Food, Pigeons and Trife — he does just that. Although he’s repping Topeka, this tape comes off VERY East Coast, very asphalt sidewalks, but dont get me wrong, in each song, there is some midwest soul can be found, which I think adds to the overall, feel of the tape.

You don’t understand how much we dig this video right here….Don’t know why but the old archival footage reminds of Reggaeton Latino [don't fron that video was dope]. Somehow the clips go exactly with the track. LoveJones and Phys Edison give you a slightly darker feel on this track and video totally works with it. With the help of The League’s own Tori Boyd it all ties together with the imagery, the production and the lyrics.
